The Director of the Wound Healing Center

Meet Takina Jones

The Wound Healing Center’s program director, Takina Jones, brings a genuine compassion to her work. Joining the management team in 2011, Takina manages the Center’s daily operations and provides leadership to the specially-trained team that delivers the latest and most effective treatments in wound care.

Her dedication and compassion for those in need is reflected in her education and training. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Alabama, and a master’s degree in management from the Florida Institute. “Community service has always been a passion of mine, and is the driving force for my continued commitment to help others,” she notes.

No matter what type of care a patient needs, whether it is hyperbaric oxygen therapy or any other specialty wound care treatment, Takina takes pride in seeing the Center’s patients return to health. In her words, “There is a sense of fulfillment when I am able to witness the healing progression of a person that comes into the Wound Healing Center, and know that we contributed to the patient’s improved quality of life. That’s why we’re here, and what our work is all about.”
