Visiting Hours & Guidelines

St. Bernardine Medical Center has compiled the following information to assist our patients and visitors. Should you need further assistance, please contact us at 909.883.8711, or download our Visitor's Guide.

Visitors
Visitors promote the health and well-being of patients and are welcomed and encouraged during normal visiting hours. Please keep in mind that no overnight stays are permitted. Only two visitors are allowed per room (exception is Labor and Delivery where three visitors are permitted). Any additional visitors are asked to wait in designated waiting rooms, the hospital lobby or in the cafeteria. Visitor badges must be worn at all times. Those who are ill themselves are asked to refrain from visiting.

  • Important: Beginning October 28, 2009, only visitors 16 and older will be permitted to enter the hospital. All visitors are required to sanitize their hands before entering, and those with flu-like symptoms will be asked not to visit until they are well. Read more about our new policy.

Non-Denominational Spiritual Care
Patients with special spiritual requests should ask their nurse or case manager to contact the hospital chaplain for assistance.

Valuables

Security
All hospital employees are required to wear name badges for your security. If you have any concerns, ask to see a badge, or call security at extension 4580.

Safety Officers are on duty seven days a week, 24 hours a day. St. Bernardine Medical Center promotes a zero tolerance for violence of any kind.

Ethics Committee
Should you have questions or concerns about your care and treatment, the hospital Ethics Committee can be accessed to help clarify issues. Ask your nurse or case manager.

Physicians
Hospital-affiliated physicians may provide a number of services. All physicians are independent contractors and not employees of St. Bernardine Medical Center.
